Booklyn’s mission is to promote artists’ books as art and research material and to assist artists and social justice organizations in documenting, exhibiting, and distributing their artworks and archives. Our growing community relies on the active involvement of artists, archivists, librarians, activists, educators, and interns. To get involved, please be in touch!

Internships at Booklyn are conducted virtually, and cover several areas of this artist-run non-profit art organization. We will work to tailor your internship to your interests and skills. Specific activities, supervised by Booklyn staff, fall into the following categories:

  • Arts Administration
  • Cataloging  / Art inventory / Archival Work
  • Social Media / Promotion
  • Development & Fundraising

We encourage interns to take on projects that align with their interests. You should have an interest in or be willing to learn about art, artists books, social justice, activism, exhibition, community outreach, archiving, photography, and/ or exhibition administration.

Please send resume, cover letter, and availability (hours per week / start date). Include information about your interests in art, social justice, and publishing. Intern applications are evaluated on a rolling basis. To apply, please send a resume and cover letter to hello@booklyn.org
