Robert The has refashioned a trade book, The World of Marcel Duchamp, into a sculpture by cutting out a section of the book along the binding in the shape of a cockroach. The is most well known for his book gun sculptures, which follow a similar formula of cutting gun-like shapes along the bindings of used books, adding a dimension of irony or word-play to the original work. His works have been collected by the MoMA, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis.

This piece contains three items: the book, the cutout, and a slipcase. The book and cut-out are both 192 pages. 31.8×24.1x2cm in slipcase; cut out is approximately 21.6×30.5cm at its widest point at the antennae; body is 14cm.
