Two volumes of transcribed Troubardor songs from 13th century Sicily. The poets: Giacomo da Lentini, Guido delle Colonne, Rinaldo d’Aquino, Jacopo Mostacci, and Pier della Vigna.

Volume 1 is in old Italian. 52 canzoni, discordo, and sonetti are transcribed directly from the original manuscripts, with seven original color prints by Clemens-Tobias Lange.

Volume 2 is the Italian critics’ edition by Professor d’A.S. Avalle (Accademia della Crusca) and Robert Antonelli (Univerità di Roma “La Sapienza”) with a translation into German by Tobias Eisermann and Christoph Hoch.

Letterpress printed, vol. 1 in Nicolas Cochin Romain type, vol. 2 in ctl-Cochin; images are printed from acrylic paints, concrete, plaster, linoleum, wood with acrylic paints and cliché’s (for the type in the images). Paper, Alcàntara, Sicily. Vol. 1, 52 pages; vol. 2, 64 pages. Edition of 70 regular copies, plus 25 deluxe copies and 9 APs. Deluxe copies in Obsidian glass panels manufactured by Segusa, Murano, Venica; regular copies in flexible copper, fire-oxygenated by CTL. 1994.
